NJ Passenger Killed In Crash At PA State Line ID'd: Coroner

A New Jersey man was killed in a Bucks County crash on Saturday, Oct. 19, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office.

Michael Amend, 34, of High Bridge, NJ, was the passenger in a vehicle that struck a tree in the 800 block of River Road in Tinicum Township, Bucks County at 1:08 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, the coroner's office said.

Amend was pronounced dead at Saint Luke's University Hospital in Bethlehem at 6:25 p.m. the same day, according to the coroner's office. 

The cause of death was "Blunt Force Injuries due to Motor Vehicle Collision," Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio said in a news release on Tuesday, Oct. 22. The manner of death was "Accident."

The Tinicum Township Police Department is investigating, according to the coroner's office.
